Photographing a Wedding & A Thank You to My Body

Hi! I wanted to take a quick break from Tubie Pad Features this week to share about a really cool thing my body helped me do a couple weekends ago! I got to photograph a wedding!Thompson Wedding-Paul8701Web

My friend Paul, who was my teammate in capturing this wedding, was really kind and took some shots of me (or shots I was accidentally in, ha!) so I thought I’d share those throughout this post, along with some of the photos I captured from the wedding day at the end!Thompson Wedding-Paul9534Web

If you know much about weddings, you know they’re pretty stressful. Add in being the photographer of a wedding, I’ll just be honest and say the stress is very high. Being all places at once, making sure to get all of the very important moments (which is honestly all of them, ha!) and just the general stress on your body to run around for an entire day, it’s a lot! Tubie Pad Feature: Bella Madalyn

Hi friends!

I am so excited to be back with another Tubie Pad Maker Feature this week! With Carrie0751Web

Just as a reminder, here’s a breakdown of what I’ll be sharing!

  • My personal thoughts on the maker’s Tubie Pads.
  • A bit of the maker’s story.
  • The materials they use and special features that sets each of them apart to help you find the right fit for you.
  • Lots of photos to hopefully help you get a full picture of what you are purchasing (on a human, front, back, etc.)
  • Price and where to find the Tubie Pads.
  • Lots of other nuggets of info depending on what each maker chooses to share!

This week I’ll be sharing and will be hearing from my new friend, Kaitlin Metheny of Tennessee, who started Bella Madalyn! She sent me some super precious floral tubie pads! Look how cute! And she picked them out herself! IMG_4489 Continue reading “Tubie Pad Feature: Bella Madalyn”

Tubie Pad Feature : Turkey Tot Customs

With Carrie0762WebI’ve been working to put together a guide to Tubie Pads!  After years of feeling lost in the Tubie Pad world, I finally decided to jump in and bring you along with me!  I’ve gathered pads from several makers.  I’ll be sharing several things about each maker’s Tubie Pads over the next few weeks:

  • My personal thoughts on the maker’s Tubie Pads.
  • A bit of each maker’s story.

This week’s feature is on Dana from Turkey Tot Customs!  She is based in sunny Florida!  I have talked so much with this sweet gal, and she is a pure joy!  When I reached out to her about this project, she was so excited, immediately asked what I loved, then made an absolutely perfect set for me!  I told her “florals, vintage patterns (gingham, stripes, etc.) and humorous novelty prints.”  I’d say she nailed it!  Look how cute!IMG_4583 Continue reading “Tubie Pad Feature : Turkey Tot Customs”

DIY TPN Backpack

Hi everyone! I missed you all last week. We took a couple of days away in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. And get this, we stayed at a haunted hotel! I’ve got photos to share from that soon. This week I’m sharing a post I’ve been so excited about, how I easily transform any everyday backpack into one that will work for TPN! Let’s get this backpack party started!

Materials needed:

  • Backpack of your choice- Ideally with a wider opening if possible! I also prefer to have several pockets on my pack.
  • 9 inches of 1 in. wide nylon webbing (sold at most craft stores by the yard, I recommend getting a little extra to have some room to play with)
  • 2 inches of 3/4 in. wide Velcro (I bought this by the yard, and got a 6 inch piece just to be safe)
  • scissors
  • sewing thread
  • embroidery thread
  • sewing needle
  • pins
  • ruler
  • lighter
